NTaR (Newcastle Treatment and Recovery) is a new and exciting service made up of several key partners including Humankind, enabling the development of a peer led, recovery community. Providing a safe environment in which people can develop the life skills, and confidence to achieve and maintain recovery and abstinence from their substance misuse, successfully re-integrate into society, and become active, contributing citizens.

Our service access support workers provide an engaging and effective response to all service user contacts for NTaR - including prospective service users, family members or carers – including contact via telephone calls, emails, faxes and web enquires.

The team is essential in providing a welcoming and positive access and engagement point for the NTaR service, promoting appropriate service engagement and managing calls coming into the service from self-referrals and requests. The team are dynamic and hold our service users and the community at the heart of what they do.

The post holder will be expected to work closely with partner agencies and will support parents/carers where appropriate.
