A vacancy has arisen for a Project Worker to provide holistic assessment and support to young carers and their families; aiming to reduce the impact of their caring role. You will be part of a busy team within the Darlington Young Carers Service supporting young people with a caring role, up to the age of 25 years old.

The successful applicant must be able to work independently and have experience of completing comprehensive assessments and support plans for young people who require specialist support. As the Schools Charter Lead you will also be responsible for proactively engaging and supporting schools to achieve the Young Carers Charter.

Previous experience of delivering group work and support sessions to young people across a varied age range is also desired.

You will be part of a vibrant, enthusiastic team who work with young carers to ensure they are able to maximise their life chances whilst completing an appropriate caring role for them.
