Humankind is an established provider of substance misuse, health young people and families, employment and training, education and housing services. 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager within the County Durham Drug and Alcohol Recovery Service.  

The role will be responsible for the management of the Sustained Recovery Service which will include the Recovery Academy Program, Aftercare, management oversight of the Ambassador, Apprentice and Volunteer elements, alongside ensuring Service User Involvement and Influence is fully represented within our service offer.  The post holder will also manage a key Recovery Academy Housing element and support the development and implementation of the Women’s Recovery Academy which will be based in our Consett site.   

The day to day function of the post is varied with opportunities to engage in a number of service development initiatives. We are looking for someone who champion’s recovery, is an experienced leader within the drug and alcohol sector, is able to effectively implement and oversee evidence based recovery programs and activity with a strong background in psychosocial interventions.  Alongside being able to support and supervise a team of staff as well as work closely alongside our clinical partner Spectrum to ensure an outstanding service is delivered to service users, their families and carers.  

The role will also work in partnership with a range of key providers such as family services and social care teams, criminal justice, housing agencies and health and wellbeing partners. Alongside being responsible for delivery and performance of recovery and aftercare services.
