Humankind are an established provider of substance misuse, health, young people and families, employment training and education and housing services. In the last 3 years we have doubled in size and in 2018/19 we have a projected turnover of circa £36 million pounds and will employ in excess of 900 staff, expanding from a turnover of £27 million pounds and 700 staff in a matter of one year

In June 2018, we re-branded from DISC to Humankind and over the last 12 months we have developed a new 5 year strategy outlining our ambitious plans for the future

The County Durham Substance Misuse Service supports residents of County Durham with substance misuse issues, and is based across 3 centres in Peterlee, Durham and Bishop Auckland

The successful post holder will match our organisational ambition, and commitment to provide the highest standards of service delivery across Durham, engaging with local communities and supporting their priorities
