Humankind have an exciting opportunity for a LGBT+ Senior Practitioner with the LGBT+ North East services. Humankind have been supporting young LGBT+ people and their families across the North East region since 2006. We believe it’s important for all LGBT+ young people to have access to our holistic support to enable them to improve their emotional well-being and reach their full potential.

South Tyneside LGBT+ is an exciting opportunity which requires this post to develop the service for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender young people aged 11 to 25 years in South Tyneside. Providing specialist support, advice and guidance this post will engage with young people delivering 1 :1 support as required and appropriate to the young person’s needs and support them to achieve economic wellbeing, participate in education, youth groups or other learning activities, develop or sustain a healthy and safe lifestyle and make a positive contribution. This will also require oversight of the delivery of the Rainbow Flag award within schools.

Newcastle LGBT+ supports young people aged between 11 and 25 who live and around Newcastle and are in need of support with their gender identity or sexual orientation. This post will line manage 1 part time worker and have overall management responsibilities of the service including meeting contractual targets, developing the service, developing relationships with stakeholders and seeking other funding opportunities.
