Recovery Assistant Volunteer - Sefton
We are looking for a range of volunteers to support individuals in accessing services to support their recovery. To support and accompany individuals to attend appointments, to access a range of community services and to access community based leisure activities.
Volunteers will also support the team at Royal Terrace with the day to day running of the project, supporting with admin duties and helping to facilitate on site groups and activities.
Royal Terrace provides recovery focused and supported accommodation for people who have alcohol and, or, substance misuse support needs and need support to live independently.
We provide support to individuals to develop the skills required to manage homes, live confidently, remain in recovery and ultimately achieve independent living. We also deliver group-based activities to support service users to promote health and wellbeing, employability and active-citizenship.
Successful applicants will
• Have a positive attitude towards people in recovery, be open minded and non-judgemental
• Have good verbal and written communication skills
• Have the ability to work to instruction, under own initiative and within Humankind Policies and Guidance
• Be able to commit to a minimum of 4 hours per week
