We are recruiting a Custody Resettlement Worker (part-time, 18.5 hrs per week) to our Cumbria Offender Services (COS) team.
Working in HMP Haverigg you will support prisoners address their accommodation and finance and debt needs in preparation for their release, and assist them in addressing any personal, social and health needs while in prison and on release.
This is a challenging job – supporting prisoners to plan for and build healthier and more fulfilling lives on their release from prison is no easy task, but the rewards in helping people to move out of the Criminal Justice System are great.
Ideally you will have experience of support or advice work in this or a related area and/or experience of work within the Criminal Justice field.
You will need a full driving licence and the use of a car for this post.
