Humankind’s over 16 study programme ‘Steps for Success’ is a small alternate education provision which is unique and specialist in providing a holistic programme of learning to those who require a more nurturing environment in order to reach their full potential. Working with complex and vulnerable young adults, this role requires experience and knowledge of working with this target group in an innovative, engaging and enthusiastic way.
Outline of job
Working as part of a committed and dedicated team you will design, plan and deliver inspirational programmes of learning that engage and motivate young people to progress and achieve. This will involve being responsible for managing and delivering diverse learning opportunities for a small group of learners from initial interview and assessment through to successful completion of the course and accreditation. Our qualifications are individually tailored to meet learner’s needs, and will include a range of qualification types and levels, from Entry to Level 2 as a minimum. Teaching methods will include learning opportunities that are practical in nature, develop employability and social skills and enable learners to achieve accredited qualifications as well as qualifications in English and Maths. Enrichment activities and pastoral support are essential to developing our learner’s skills and experience and are a key aspect of the role.
