Brief description of project
South Tyneside Adult Recovery Service offers ways for local people with drug and alcohol problems to become free from their dependence. We also want to reduce the problems that substance misuse causes to families, friendships, workplaces and communities in South Tyneside.
Details of the role / tasks
Supporting BRIC's (Building Recovery In Community’s) group work Facilitators in deliver of structured therapeutic workshops.
Supporting clients in completing workshops and behaviour change to move further into a positive recovery from substance misuse.
To progress through time in being able to co facilitate/facilitate workshops

To have confidence and excellent verbal communication skills within a group setting.
To promote all aspects of recovery and South Tyneside Adult Recovery Service
To be able to motivate and engage people within the group work setting
To work within strict confidential guidelines and comply with the appropriate Humankind policies and procedures
To be able to commit to one full day either Wednesday or Thursday when supporting workshops
To be able to attend and complete all induction sessions
Appointment into the role will be subject to the successful completion of the 3 day Supporting Voices training package.
Closing date for applications is Friday 26th July with interviews taking place on Monday 1st August .
