A new opportunity has arisen for an Area Manager to lead Humankind’s County Durham Drug and Alcohol Recovery Service. The service offers high quality care, supporting opportunities and best possible outcomes for County Durham residents from three recovery centres and a wide range of community venues. The successful post holder will match our organisational ambition and commitment to provide the highest standards of service quality and performance across County Durham, engaging with local communities and supporting their priorities.

Main duties of the role will include:
• Senior operational management of the service
• Partnership management of Humankind’s partner organisation within the service
• Providing effective and positive leadership for our service team
• Developing and promoting effective working relationships across a wide range of partners and stakeholders
• Delivering  on key performance outcomes and service activity targets
• Maintaining and evidencing service quality indicators

Applicants must hold (or be working towards) a recognised management qualification (e.g. CMI Level 5 or Equivalent or a minimum of 2 years management experience) with the ability to demonstrate strong leadership in a service environment. Experience in a service management role with a proven track record of successfully meeting targets is essential. You must be able to motivate and encourage others and promote the ethos and values of partnership working.
