We are currently recruiting for a HOPE Recovery Coordinator for our South Tyneside Adult Recovery Service.
Main duties of the role include:
Delivering effective health liaison, harm reduction, needle exchange and prevention pathways and intervention within the service delivery model .The worker will complete Harm minimisation interventions based on drug of choice and Harm Minimisation principles. The Harm reduction worker will conduct individual and group educational encounters ensuring that they are given the tools to inject more safely thus preventing death from overdose. They will also refer to our Harm Minimisation nurse for BBV testing
Take a designated single point of contact role in the community, hospitals and GP surgeries and working alongside doctors, hospital staff and treatment centre staff thus promoting effective pathways and partnership working
Working collaboratively with service trainers to deliver education, awareness raising and promoting Humankind out in the community
Proving short term intervention using a holistic approach and psychosocial interventions to service users, their families and carers
