Humankind’s Independent Living Unit offers a range of housing-related support services, advice and guidance to help people obtain accommodation and progress towards a sustained independent lifestyle in the community.  We work with a wide variety of clients, often with histories including substance misuse, offending, mental ill health and homelessness, to overcome barriers and achieve social inclusion. 
We currently have an opportunity to join our successful Middlesbrough generic housing-related floating support service as a Housing Support Worker. You will support people to secure, suitable and sustainable housing through personalised support interventions to avoid eviction, improve independent living skills, maximise life opportunities, reduce social isolation and promote improved health and wellbeing. The role involves carrying a busy and varied caseload, and the successful candidate will need to demonstrate their ability to manage this.
• 37 hours per week
• Location central Middlesbrough but will be required to travel across the Borough
• Car user
