We are recruiting for a Support Worker in our Independent Living Unit.
Humankind’s Independent Living Unit - offers a range of housing-related support services, advice and guidance to help people obtain accommodation and progress towards a sustained independent lifestyle in the community.  We work with a wide variety of clients, often with histories including substance misuse, offending, mental ill health and homelessness, to overcome barriers and achieve social inclusion. 
The following opportunity has arisen to join our 'Young Peoples Positive Support Pathway' in Darlington, which supports young people aged 16-25 years old:
The service works in partnership with the YMCA to deliver a pathway of support, for young people living in Darlington.  The service provides move on accommodation, dispersed units of accommodation within Darlington and outreach housing related support to those 16-25.
Your motivation to enable young people to improve their quality of life is vital to this role. You will provide housing related support to young people, supporting them to access and sustain safe and secure accommodation and live independently.  Your role will also including identifying support and risk management needs and signposting young people to a wide range of additional services which meet their needs.
